It all began with a cake.

I have always had a sweet tooth and loved to bake but it wasn’t until my daughter was approaching her first birthday that I felt the surge of inspiration to create.

There is something about creating an edible piece of art that makes eyes glisten with excitement and it was this look that gave me butterflies. The sort of butterflies that make your heart smile. I felt this, every time I baked for family and friends, so I knew creating cakes was a passion deep inside that I needed to explore. Before I knew it, Freckle was born. A side hustle that has grown over the last four years into a thriving business full of joy.
